ABOUT ME

We met while teaching overseas where our love for world travel, comedy tv, club dancing and coffee brought us together. Now we live and work in a city neither one of us is from. We love meeting new people, having long conversations, curling up in front of NetFlix, and being in the moment.

PHILOSOPHY

Give what you've got plenty of, learn to accept the things you need, and love love love each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friends and I took a short ferry trip on a whim to a small island off the coast of Korea. We chose one of the three traditional Buddhist temples to travel to. While we were there, we were invited to have a meal and tea (which turned out to actually be coffee) with the monk. He showed us his pictures of his travels in the US, and then one of the temple volunteers gave us a ride back to the ferry terminal. On the car ride, she told us that the monk was semi-famous and had written a book.

Teach, Learn, Share

Abby knows a lot about the Black Power Movement, magical realism, the internet, and baking. Matt knows a lot about world religions, Buddhist philosophy, logiccal proofs, and classical philosophical arguments. We can teach you how to brew the perfect cup of coffee, how to play Bocce Ball, or all about flowers. We'd like to learn more Korean, and we'd like to learn about you.
