travel is, in essence, a selfish activity. it is about yourself and what you want to see, to do, and to experience. the beautiful thing is that the result of travel can be a decidedly unselfish paradigm through which to view the world. travel illuminates and opens eyes. i think it is important that travelers are affected by what they experience and learn so that it becomes an unselfish pursuit.
