Sobre Mim

CURRENT MISSION

To travel to interesting places, off the gringo trail...and get inspired to start many business ideas!

ABOUT ME

I am 25 years old and I was born in London. After London I spent 3 years living in Rome, Italy with my family as my dad had work out there as a management consultant. I was very young at the time but have kept lots of ex-pat friends from Italy and we often go back for holidays.

I then spent most of my life growing up in the country of Buckinghamshire, North of London - and now my family lives in Oxfordshire, in the rural countryside. It is a nice and peaceful area of England with lots of fields, farms and people walking their dogs!

I then studied at the Univeristy of Nottingham for 3 years, studying English. This may sound strange but it was more to do with the theory of the language, old English, literature, drama, etc.

I then spent 3 years living and working in London as a recruiter for Private Equity funds, where we would find them new board level management teams to put into the businesses that they bought. I saved enough money to leave after three years for a whole year´s trip around South America.

I started this trip of a lifetime in June 2008 and I am still going strong, 8 months later! It has been the most amazing thing I have ever done and I have already seen so many places and met so many people. I started in Buenos Aires and spent 3 months looking all over Argentina. Then I went up through CHile, Bolivia, Peru, COlombia and Ecuador and flew to Brazil to spend New Years Eve in Rio. I then went down the southern coast of Brazil, through Uruguay, and now find myself again in Buenos Aires, where it all started 8 months ago. Next I go to Iguacu Falls, then to the North of Brazil for Carnival in Recife and Olinda, and then into the Amazon (Belem to Manaus), Venezeula, the Guyanas, then home in Mid May. Alot of fun still to go!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is very short so live for the now, try things you think may be difficult, be optimistic in everything you do and never give up...if you do this in every aspect of your life you will end up unstoppable!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not stayed with couchsurfers but I met up with quite a few in North Argentina, in Tucuman, which was good fun. We drank fernet and coke, danced the night away, and although I was offered to stay at their place I was living in a hostel at the time.
