About Me

I'm the kind of guy who's grateful for anything that comes his way. Take traveling, for example: I've slept nearly everywhere and anywhere possible (trains, bus, stations, bus stops, newly met drunk stranger houses, parks, roofs, you name it), yet the thought of expecting or, even worse, demanding anything from people I meet, countries I go to, situations I put myself in, has never crossed my mind. 'Cause I love the adventure, and I can't get sick of it. It has taught me to always try to keep a positive attitude whenever I find myself in a bit of a pickle.

I don't really have a specific way of living, else I'd rather be already dead or I'd be writing boring know-how books! I am a person, as such I am full of contradictions, my actions are often driven by the almighty "why the heck not" principle, and I hate defining things.
You could say I'm kind of materialistic, but that'd be a tad simplistic, wouldn't it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because one day I'd love to be able to host people from all over the world. I think this is such a fresh and cool idea.
As of now I have only been hosted, since I don't own a place of mine, but it all started a few years ago, when I was hosted by a random kind English lady in Stockholm, since her soon-to-be-husband was in Luleå, due to unexpected problems with my originally planned accommodation. She was so much fun to be around and exceptionally outgoing, so I guess that's what drew me to this site.

Interests

I'm interested in photography, reading, traveling (duh of course), theatre, post-rock music, learning new languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... give me anything from the Italian neorealism period and I'll be a happy camper.

Music-wise I love post-rock and ambient. Even electronic. I don't necessarily dislike neoclassical music either, but I'm pretty picky about that.

Ugh, books. I've read so many, it's tough to choose any. I just love Russian literature as a whole, dystopian English writers, Wells, Dickinson, mid 20th century Italian poetry. Now I mostly read essays for Uni anyway, so my latest readings deal more with classical Greco-Roman culture and yaddayadda than anything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have saved a life. Enough said.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hey, I'm Italian. I may never learn, but I can sure share EVERYTHING ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to share my home, if I only had one to begin with! As soon as I get my own place I'd like to start hosting people and give back what I've been given up until now.
