About Me

Hi! I'm Matteo and I'm 29 years old. I'm Italian, precisly from Modena, the city of Balsamic vinegar and Ferrari (probably you know both), but I moved for work in Viserbella a small.village next to Rimini.
About me..I'm a PE teacher in the secondary school and a solo traveler.
I am a quiet and open-minded person who needs his own space but at the same time needs to share experiences and enjoy moments with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because visiting the places is not enough for me anymore, now I feel the need to live (not just visit) the place, and the best way is, for sure, to spend time with locals.
But the fact of hosting people without asking for anything (money in particular) fascinates me a lot and in this way I am sure to meet and know people who are open and different from those we meet every day.
Unfortunatly now I can't host people, but when I'll have the possibilities, for sure i will do.

Interests

Besides being a traveler, I am a sportsman. I practice climbing, yoga, futsal, beach volley, I love nature and hiking in the mountains.
Most of all I love the sea, the beach, the sun and all water sports like snorkeling, surfing, kitesurfing ... I admit that sometimes I also love lying on the beach doing nothing.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite series are: Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul and Black Mirror.
I'm a good reader, my favourites authors are Ken Follett and Dan Brown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was lucky to have had some very important life experiences.
The most significant was certainly when, in 2017, I spent 3 months in Sierra Leone, a small and poor country in Africa, in a mission of nuns where I taught physical education in an elementary school. It was an unforgettable experience and journey.
Added to this is a two-months period in London "looking for lucky" when I was 18 and one year of Erasmus in Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and Spanish, and I would try to learn something of all the languages of the world!
And, of course, I can teach you some secrets about Italian kitchen :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I assure a respectful, clean, and smiling person!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Indonesia, Jordan, Laos, Maldives, Portugal, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
