Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Matteo, an Italian traveler who enjoys conversations, shared meals, and discovering the quiet rituals that shape people’s daily lives.
I’ve been a photographer since I was 17, and it’s still my way of exploring culture, care, and human connection. I studied Natural and Environmental Science at University of Pisa, which feeds my curiosity for ecosystems, food traditions, and the links between people and their surroundings.
I’m spontaneous, curious, and a bit analytical. I enjoy warm vibes, open conversations, trekking in nature, and dancing whenever music appears. If you like shared meals and creative exchange, we’ll get along.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m currently developing a photographic project about Mediterranean food culture, and Couchsurfing helps me explore it in the most human way: by staying with locals, observing their habits, and photographing the colors, flavors, and small stories that come alive around their table. If you feel comfortable, I love taking portraits of my hosts as part of this journey.

What I Can Share with Hosts
As a surfer, I bring food and photos. I’m celiac, which turned me into an enthusiastic explorer of delicious gluten-free recipes, and I’m always happy to cook for my hosts and share a few images too.
