About Me

Italian living abroad, in the UK. I work in global health, which drove me to live for a few years across Sierra Leone and Ethiopia, and still takes me to the continent for shorter visits.
I love being on the move and meeting people across cultures. I usually travel with my partner, Andonis, from the US and with Greek routes.
Our travelling style is, we go where we have someone to connect with, and this gives us so much more.
We are arranging our place in Oxford so that we'll soon be able to have people staying over.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been a early subscriber, I loved the philosophy behind Couchsurfing from day one, the meeting and the sharing.
Through CS I built beautiful friendships across continents and went on crazy road adventures.
I would do it all over again hundred times.

Interests

I'm doing trapeze because it's never too late to push your boundaries a bit. I'm still scared of height.
I like to keep an eye on what is new and what's to come, it's otherwise easy to feel left behind in today's fast pace world. I'd love to find the serenity to live in a slower timescale, savoring life more fully. Working to get there.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love going to the movies, I look for complex personalities and the unexpected. A couple of titles I loved lately: Anatomy of a fall, La chimera, Bones and all, All of us strangers.
Reading italian novels and politics and economics books.
My CD stack offers tunes for every taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Walking on the edge of an active volcano crater in Ethiopia, massively beautiful experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can tell you all I know about malaria control, which is the core of my profession, and also tell you how it feels when you get it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm quite handy and always up for a quick fix.
