ABOUT ME

Florence and I are off on a big adventure at the end of Jan, heading east by land towards China...not long now! We enjoy fresh experiences, cultures and meeting new people. I guess we would be described as being laid back, adventurous, friendly. I am a researcher (water/environment/development stuff) at the University of Bristol and also run a website (www.ecojam.org), and Florence (aka Flods) is an editor for a travel publisher.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are newbies. Friends have told us about some great experiences they have had couch surfing. Can't think of a better way to see a place than staying with a local. Can't wait to start! Hope to offer our place when we get back - where ever that may be.

We love snowboarding (and Flods skiing), surfing (or trying to surf..), the great outdoors, friends, and travelling, music, festivals

Florence is the linguist and loves everything Italian. She is happiest riding her bike and eating good food.
