About Me
CURRENT MISSION
This is hard. Trying to maintain my calm while reading the news has been a prominent one lately.
ABOUT ME
I'm never very good at filling these things out, but for now I'll say that I recently graduated in Philosophy from the University of York, and I'm currently in the process of working out what's next. I'm generally a likable kind of person I think, and I'm always very up for meeting new people and seeing new places.
PHILOSOPHY
I think that being a philosophy student has, perversely, made this question near enough impossible for me to answer.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to couch surfing, having been introduced by a friend, but I really like the whole idea. Having seen my friend host people, it just seems like such a wonderful and involved way to experience a new place. Currently, I can't really offer much in return for surfing on peoples couches, as I'm travelling, but when I'm back home in mid November I'll gladly start hosting.

Music, Movies, and Books
A random selection:
Movies: Woody Allen, Paul Thomas Anderson, Emir Kustirica, Fellini, Ghostbusters, Sergio Leone
Music: Sonic Youth, Leonard Cohen, Miles Davis, Jazz, especially 50s/60s stuff, and with a strong interest in the freer side of things, Bill Callahan/Smog, MF Doom, a bunch of other hip-hop people, Shostakovich, Keiji Haino, Bob Dylan
Books: Marquez, Pynchon, JD Salinger, a load of philosophy (I guess most prominently 20th century European stuff), Paul Auster, Paul Bowles, Camus
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hitchhiked to Morocco last Easter. That was pretty great.
