Hey, I'm Matt! I'm a senior in college double majoring in physics and chemistry with a minor in math. I've got a bunch of interests and an extensive bucket list; I pretty much want to do it all. I've played piano all my life, play a bit of guitar, and I work in the New Mexico Rockies during the summer at a Boy Scout ranch where I've done things like guiding, wilderness education, and search and rescue.

I really like school and thoroughly enjoy what I'm studying. I eventually would like to work either in research or as a teacher. In my free time I work for my university's outdoors program, leading adventure trips and teaching rock climbing at our gym. Rock climbing has become a huge passion over the years, and I love introducing new people to the sport, it's the best!

I'm currently living out of a van that I've fixed up to be a kind of mobile home. I got the idea a couple years ago after reading about a student at Duke who did the same thing to avoid taking out too many student loans, and as I read more about it, I found out that quite a few rock climbers do the same to save money (and climb more). I'm always up for a good challenge, so I figured I'd give it a shot! So far it's going really well-- it's definitely a bit different than staying in an apartment, but it makes every day a bit more unique and fun, and I'm getting to save more money to do the things that really matter, so it's worth the sacrifice.

I've traveled pretty extensively throughout the Unites States, looking to start exploring the world!

Skydiving! I also once ate an entire package of oreos in one sitting. The skydiving was definitely better.
