Hi, my name is Matthew Lewis. I was raised in a small town and spent most my life in the woods. I have a true passion for nature almost anything to do with it. I have done some traveling and I am always looking for a adventure. Last september I was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, the surgery's saved my life and the treatment is keeping me going. the whole experience came as a huge wake up call and I realized I have not quite lived as much as i would have liked to...so now is the time!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When my sister was 17 she decided to travel France as she had always had a passion for the french language and culture. But with out money she would not have been able to stay very long. she found couch surfing and took off. We were all scared for her safety but when she returned she had had the time of her life and said it to be a changing experience. After that, I was sold!

I love nature, I am a sea kayak guide but living in a country that has 6 months of winter It is hard to get out as much as I would like to. I also love, music( especially live), dogs, cooking, beer, bicycles, and a good joint every now and then
