Overview
About Me
Recent arrival to Philly after living down the Shore for two years, and I'm enjoying checking out my new digs. I've been a lawyer in private practice for just over three years - I like the intellectual challenge of determining what the law is and how I can use it to help a client.
In the past two or three years, I've made my health a greater priority, by being more mindful about what I eat, drinking water, and walking 45 minutes a day. I did yoga a few times - it's awesome!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I recently re-discovered my love of travel when I journeyed up and down the East Coast late this summer and caught up with family and some old friends. When I had breakfast one morning at a diner in Montpelier, VT, I sat at a large table in the front for individuals or small groups to chat and socialize while having a meal. I look at Couchsurfing the same way - it's an opportunity for people to meet and share with people they wouldn't ordinarily otherwise meet, and hopefully they both learn and take something away and are better for the experience. I am looking forward to continuing to do some travelling in the coming months.
Interests
Hiking trails and exploring parks. Checking out live music. Cooking and eating new and different foods. Reading. Meditating. Visiting craft breweries and sampling their products.

Books: On the Road by Jack Kerouac, Boardwalk Empire by Nelson Johnson, Game Change, Why We Suck by Denis Leary. I just finished up a book about meditation.
Shows: The Simpsons, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos, The Good Wife.
Movies: Ghostbusters (I have a proton pack signed by Dan Aykroyd).
Music: Phish, Radiohead, classic rock, jazz, bluegrass . . . a little bit of everything. I'm glad my new car has XM radio, it's great if you have music A.D.D.
Food: Favorite type - Italian; favorite dinner - meatloaf (in an unorthodox shape, like a letter or a footprint or a heart) and mashed potatoes; favorite side - quinoa with broccoli (the best part is biting the heads off).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was 13, I was a batboy for one came for the Dodgers when they were playing a spring training game against the Mets.
