Hey hey! New to couchsurfing believe it or not, even though I've always had it on the radar as something I'd like to get involved with. I feel like it would be right up my street, pun unintended but I'm pretty proud of that!

Lover of music, arts, and crucially just meeting people in general/hearing their stories and what makes them tick. In recent times I've become fascinated with intentional communities, I've stayed in none spiritual ones, another with a guru in Sweden and I've just tried my first Christian one which had some really beautiful aspects, as they all did in different ways. I've done this for many reasons, but one is to see how people live together, and what things work and what don't, I want to understand what can be the most harmonious blue print for a community.

I go on multiple holidays each year as well, including workshop festival kinda stuff, did 10 day Vipassana silent mediation last year which was the hardest thing I've ever done, but glad I did all the same. It taught me a lot, the impermanence of things, but also the wonderful things that can be experienced outside of just meditating, it made me appreciate my friends, my hobbies, and the freedom that life has to offer.

I also went to Burning Man in 2019 and it's lit a spark so I've done Nowhere and Burning Nest in England, with many more to come I'm sure! Also did Boom in Portugal which was truly spectacular, incredible memories...

I'd also say one of my values is consistency, I'm always making time for family and friends.

I'm always looking to grow and improve and maintain one of my fundamental values which is curiosity. Really hoping to meet some great/interesting people through this medium and see where the journey takes me/both of us.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because it's on my bucket list of things to do in life, but also to connect with more people on this planet. I want to enrich my life with memories of people I have never met before, I want to grow as a human being, and create new friendships. I'd also love to just see what other people's lives are like, what they do for fun and work. I'd love to go on hikes, see live music, and go for meals out as well if you have any favourites, but open to anything really!

Radiohead, Portishead, anything ending in head, but also classical, electronic, film wise....anything deep and...good haha! Favourites are Forest Gump, Eternal Sunshine, City of God, Life in a Day. Would love to watch films you love together or ones neither of us have seen.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycled 65 miles on a single speed for a children's hospice, it was amazing how easy it was to generate money for a worthy cause.

Teach, Learn, Share

I mean I'm pretty good at piano, I started playing when I was 14, and I play guitar as well so I could teach you a bit if you're new to it. My piano style people have said sounds like film music, and my guitar style ranges from Radiohead vibes to Elliot Smith, I love jamming with people as well so if you have a few instruments of any type I would love to do this, jamming with people I find is one of the most enjoyable ways to interact with someone on this planet. I've also fine tuned my nutritious healthy vegan meals so would love to cook dinner/lunch for you if you wanted me too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, a good ear, I love hearing/learning from strangers. I can also bring a board game called Settler's of Catan if you wanted to try your hand at a favourite of mine, or maybe yours as well and we could have a game together?
