ABOUT ME

My name is Matthew and i am from the lovely land of Ireland, i myself am a musician and will always provide some tunes and good times for those who seek it, i am a born traveller and wish to travel around and explore everything i can in this wonderful life and have a good time doing it :) I also love adventure sports and spend much of my time trying to get a thrill out of anything that will give me a chance. my main sports are skateboarding, snowboarding and rock climbing.

PHILOSOPHY

the more i grow up the more i learn to appreciate and love the life i am living. i believe that we are all one together on this planet and we should treat eachother accordingly and i believe that we should all treat every person with the same respect. I like to make the best with what i have and always do what i can to have a good time and to show others around me an equally good time :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

currently i am spending a lot of time working so that i can fund my travels across Europe, I then hope to expand my travels in the coming years to Asia and south America. I love going out in my local city in Belfast and doing a lot of partying with anyone who is up for the craic (irish for fun) i also love festivals and try and hit any festival i can across Ireland, aswell as playing as many as i can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travelled around Germany for a month and mainly couchsurfed, this was an excellent experience and I made some really good friends who I would love to go back and visit. I have also hosted a few people and all have been good experiences

I am a fan of music, rock climbing, hiking, skatboarding, surfing, nature, animals, martial arts and just about anything you can have a good time doing, i love meeting new people and sharing experiences that will provide much entertainment and laughter for all. I currently work in a Tropical Butterfly house and am in love with being able to work with animals and nature and it is definately a line of work i would like to pursue in the future.

my favourite movies are into the wild, toy story, good will hunting and the last of the mohicans. my main music would be reggae so i love artists like toots and the maytals, bob marley, jimmy cliff and sister nancy, i have also always been a fan of rock music with artists such as led zeppelin, the rolling stones and pink floyd. i also have a lot of time for acoustic artists such as john butler and xavier rudd. to be honest i like music from every genre as long as i feel its good muusic. no matter what music you're in to we will find some common ground. i love books such as the book thief, the hunger games, the hobbit and i am currently reading the life of pi.

I studied Kung Fu at a Shaolin Kung fu academy in China. it was very fun :)

I enjoy meeting people who are positive and happy, that would be the main thing i look for in people and if they are so then i can probably have a good relationship with them, i enjoy meeting people who have great ambition in their life and try their hardest to make the best of their life, i find this very inspiring. i also enjoy people who are good and take time to care for others
