Hello! I am an American currently studying Chinese in Kunming, China. I also studied Chinese in university for a few years, so my Chinese is quite decent. I've lived in China for three years and plan to continue living here for at least several more years. I love traveling but haven't had a chance to travel much outside of China. I'm currently most interested in visiting Southeast Asian countries, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to have more authentic and immersive travel experiences by meeting local people, who can hopefully provide me with a window into their culture and help me explore their country in a way that would be difficult to do otherwise. Basically I think coushsurfing will make the travel experience a lot more interesting than simply staying in hotels.
