关于我

I grew up on the East Coast of the United States where I attended high school in Connecticut.

I lived in Maine for 5 years while getting a B.S. from the University of Maine in Orono, ME. During my sophomore year I took the opportunity spend a semester at the world-renowned National Outdoor Leadership School. This semester living outdoors introduced me to the American West. After graduating from UMaine, I immediately moved to Nederland, Colorado, located just 18 miles West of Boulder.

While living in Colorado I worked for the U.S. Forest Service as an Interpretive Ranger on Mt. Evans, teaching visitors about natural history, wildlife, glaciation, and alpine ecology. The following two years I worked as a Wildland Firefighter for the Boulder ranger district based out of Nederland. During the winters I taught snowboarding, telemark skiing, and worked as a full-time dispatcher for Ski Patrol at the Eldora ski area. After 3 years of seasonal work, I switched paths and began working in the medical marijuana industry, trimming, and later as the head grower for People's Choice dispensary. After two years we had a temporary interruption of operations due to legal and paperwork complications and I found myself laid-off from work.

After separating from my wife and being laid off I took this opportunity to enjoy my new-found freedom. I sold all of my belongings, packed my car and drove out to California. Two weeks later I found myself at the border of Mexico hiking North on the Pacific Crest Trail. I hiked for three months (until my savings ran out) making it 800 miles to Mono Hot Springs, just South of Yosemite National Park. I managed to get a ride from a friendly stranger back to Los Angeles where I have settled in.

I am now working as a freelance Photographer, Stage Manager, and Production Assistant.

I enjoy having unique experiences while visiting foreign countries and I feel that one of the best ways to really experience a foreign culture is to become friends with locals.

音乐、电影和书籍

My favorite author is Edward Abbey (Desert Solitaire, The Monkey Wrench Gang, Hayduke Lives, Down The River) but I also like Chuck Palahniuk.

As for movies, I am usually into gritty, dark - think Quentin Tarantino, Andy Wachowski, Christopher Nolan, and George Miller to name a few.

For music I am all over the board. I love me some 90's alternative but I am also a big fan of modern electronic, indie, classic rock, psych-rock, funk, blues, anything really, just not a big country fan (but ill make exceptions for the classics).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I biked 3000+ miles from Georgia to California in 6 weeks, averaging 80+ miles a day. It was hard. It was fun.
