I've just come back from a six-month university placement in Amsterdam. I don't feel that academia and travelling mix for me, so my plan - go to Berlin for another placement - is probably off the cards. If anyone from anywhere (particularly places where French, German, or Dutch are widely spoken) would like to meet this quirky weirdo, hit me up!

I'm a bit geeky and a bit nerdy, and my interests are very eclectic but my true passion in life is language. While I'm not quite fluent, I'm more than just 'learning' French, German and Dutch. I can communicate effectively, just sometimes I have to repeat myself or ask people to repeat themselves.

I don't really mind what I'm doing too much, so long as it's in good company. When I'm on my own, I listen to a lot of music.

I'm not super-into movies or books, but I love music. My tastes are hugely varied, but it spans everything from trashy pop to grunge to ska to classical.

Toured the UK in my band, Rumours of Spring. From September 2012-September 2013, we did about 120 shows.
