I enjoy meeting people from around the world and gaining new perspectives of life while creating memories. It's also nice to know where the good food is outside of the Lonely Planet recommendations.

Interests

Reading, playing chess, any body of water, rum, delicious food, rice, random smiles, impromptu invitations, train rides, car rides, bikes, bucket showers, being barefoot, parting gifts, admiring photography, when technology and engineering meet art, black and white, excessive colour, contrasts, contradictions, red bean paste, vegetables, lazy days, hiking, finishing a good book, arriving in a new country, visas, coming home, arriving somewhere which feels like a second home, visiting countries a second time, running, bouncing on trampolines, being comfortable in silence, reggaeton, not understanding lyrics, the idea of one day having my own apartment, not knowing where in the world this apartment would be, eating with my hands. There's probably a lot more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was interviewed on Iranian television. The other month I went scuba diving and saw a turtle in the Philippines. I was in Yerevan for the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. I bribed my way through Bangladesh, was held at Ben Gurion airport for 12 hours and just recently found out perhaps Sydney is as great as Melbourne.
