About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Spend a year abroad working, traveling, and growing

ABOUT ME

I left home about a year and half ago to delay settling down and facing reality after graduating from Uni. I worked in Ireland for four months and Scotland for ten months. My visas have expired so I'm now traveling throughout the continent with an InterRail pass. I'm not ready for my travels to be over, but unless I find work, I'm afriad they soon will be. The best 18 months of my life are perhaps quickly coming to a close. Zero regrets.

PHILOSOPHY

Live lift to the fullest. Don't take anything for granted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surf when traveling and I do my best to host when I have my own place (not living in a hostel, crashing at friends, etc)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love it. An epic way for travelers to draw out their travel time as long as possible. When hosting, I like to get to know my surfers, but understand this isn't always an option. Best worst case scenario, I offer my flat up as a free place to stay for fellow travelers of this world. Surfing is a brilliant way to meet new and interesting people.

Interests

Politics, rainy days, running, listening to lots of different music, drinking red wine, reading, trying new kinds of good beer, drinking cheap beer, sleeping in my bed, taking pictures, bodies of water, playing Texas hold em', coffee, snowboarding, and enjoying life as it comes. Making really good sandwiches. Jameson shots. Surfing, clearly. Taking 2am swims in the atlantic ocean and fighting off sharks and ripcurrents (not rip tides, fool. actually, tides have nothing to do with rip currents. fyi). Gmail. Disc golfing. My family means the world to me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Where do I start? Dashboard, Snoop, 2pac, Further Seems Forever, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Mason Jennings, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Dispatch, Usher, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Daphne Loves Derby, The Spill Canvas, Jack's Mannequin, Say Anything, Epic Hero... New addition: The Rocket Summer. I also really love classical music. Well, not really. I do like Barber's Adagio for Strings - check it out. Classical is also essential for studying. Boys Like Girls. Unsung Zeros. Secondhand Serenade.

I'm always up for a good read, whenever I can find the time.
