I'm a broad, open-minded person with many different sides to me. In addition to the scientific and analytical aspect of me, I am also very much interested in languages - I teach English and am also currently learning French.

During my spare time I like creative things like theatre, music, and am also keen on performing myself. In particular I've discovered singing in the last couple of years, so have been doing a few concerts here and there, and enjoy going to karaoke evenings ^^. I also play the piano too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel and to meet great new people who can share their experiences and knowledge of a place, and likewise with whom I can share my experiences and knowledge.

I'm also interested in improving my language abilities, and find that the best way to practise a language is to live in the country where it is spoken, and immerse yourself as fully as possible in it, whilst meeting new and interesting new people, and having a good time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I particularly like music with jazz roots, but am open to a wide range. Songs that always inspire me are ones where I can feel the true emotion and sentiment of song, which has been interpreted by the artist.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm currently learning French, which I find a very poetic language, and is a wonderful language to sing in! I've just done a B1 course last semester, mais il faut, que je pratique plus mon français ^^.

Food/cooking: I love learning new local dishes and how to make them myself. I have a knoweldge of British food, and a slowly growing knowledge of German food from Hessen, from living here.

Of course I am happy to help with English. I am an English teacher too :).
