COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed down the west coast of the US this summer with a friend and had a blast - everyone we met was so lovely and welcoming, and I think this website is absolutely an amazing way to travel and meet new people.

Música, películas y libros

I love weird and surreal movies - particularly David Lynch - but I'm also a sucker for well-written teen comedy (Mean Girls!).

I'm more into TV than films - I love UK sitcoms like Spaced and Black Books as well as American shows like 30 Rock and Community. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the light of my life, and at the moment I'm really into Orange is the New Black and In The Flesh.

My music taste tends towards the oddball: weird, theatrical stuff like David Bowie, Amanda Palmer, St Vincent. I like a lot of 90s alt-rock, particularly bands with female vocalists (Garbage, Sleater-Kinney, Bikini Kill) - I'm a riot grrrl at heart. My music taste is pretty varied, though - at the moment I've been listening to a lot of Kate Bush, Fugazi, Janelle Monae, LCD Soundsystem, and Robyn. Oh, and Haim. ALWAYS Haim.

(Oh, and being from Liverpool, I obviously have to like the Beatles - it's a compulsion.)

My favourite books include number9dream by David Mitchell, The Waves by Virginia Woolf, Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami and The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky.
