I'm a young man, trying to make his way around the world, hopefully mostly by sailing :)

Grown-up on a small farm, first I did some environmental education, later studied biology, and then I did my master's in botany. Now I'm done and want to see all these things I've heard about :D
So right now I take some time, probably a year, off to travel.

Since I started in January in Austria I:
- took the train to Vorarlberg, a region in Austria, to enjoy the huge amount of snow we had at this time
- came to Lorient (France) with a guy who gave me a lift with his car
- sailed from Lorient to A Coruna (Spain) together with 3 other guys on a Katamaran
- continued with one guy to Lisbon and later to Lanzarote
- sailed from Lanzarote to Tenerife with another guy

and here I am right now :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first intention of my flatmate and me was to join Couchsurfing because we had plenty of space we didn't use and thought it would be nice to have different people around :D
We soon pretty much enjoyed listening to stories from all over the world, cook different things together we have never heard about before, and show how to prepare Austrian food, share some drinks, go out for to party, go hiking,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think paragliding and scuba diving are the two most exciting things i've done. Marine phosphorescence and the aurora borealis are the most beautiful natural spectacles i've seen.

I really enjoy preparing dishes, so I can prepare Austrian dishes or try new ones if you want :)
