ABOUT ME

I'm 27 year old forest manager for the local nature organisation. Living in Ghent (probably the best city in the world) and passionate about nature and environment. I'm a calm person and find friendship really important. Travelling is off course one of my favourite occupations. The two main objectives i have when I'm travelling is be overwhelmed by nature and meet people where you learn a lot from or just have a great time with. In my spare time I'm busy with guiding kids in a nature mouvement. I learn them about the environment and the animals in the nature in a kidfriendly. When I'm travelling I mostly go walking and hicking in the wild with my friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Go outside and talk to the people.

Never do anything bad to another person, that you wouldn't like to happen to you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed over with only 2 persons in Germany. They were both positive experience and made me really want to continue couchsurfing. But before I did couchsurfing it already happened that I stay over that I stayed over with people I meet in the street when I'm looking for a roof over my head for the evening.

Nature,
Cycling, helping in the organic vegetable garden at my university, going for long walks in the nature,

birds: for the most of my travels the main goal was to look for birds that I haven't seen yet. Therefore every summer I go to different countries with some friends, generally hitchhiking through the country, looking for beautiful and rare birds.

I'm as well part of a student movement that's occupied with introducing sustainability at the faculty.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

- a boat ride through the Donau Delta: We were staying in a little village in the middle of the Donau Delta. You could only reach this village by boat. There we stayed for two nights with an old lady who was like our grandmother for ous, emotional goodbye. In that same town we were invited to go to a small metal concert from some guy we met in the street and top of the bill we went with a fishermen inthrough an immense field of lilly's with a boat surrounded by nothing else but pelicans and thousands of other birds

-one day of horse backriding through tropical montane cloudforest, nothing organised just with the horses from some guy we met.

I really love to learn people about the different aspects of nature. In the weekends I try to learn children about recognising animals in the nature, plants and which ones are edible, organic farming and other aspects of the environment.
