my name is Matthias and I am currenly 23 years old.
I play basketball and I study at the University of Ghent.
I love to see other countries and learn more about different cultures and people.
One of my dreams is to travel around the world and espacially South America or Asia. But at the moment i'm still a poor student who can not afford to go far away :(

Since Couchsurfing is the best way to meet local people and learn more about there culture and habits (and is cheap ;) ) it is my favourite way of travelling trough Europe and other countries. It is great to meet people and listen to their experiences and stories and create other stories together.

Different types of people and cultures. I adore penguins because they are the most amazing and cute animals :D
I like to watch and play all kind of sports such as Basketball, soccer, rugby and so on...

there are so many good songs movies and books that it is almost impossible to tell them.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

the most amazing thing i have seen so far was the nature of Helsinki during the winter. And the spa in Budapest during the summer. Also sailing on a boat in Barcelona was one of the best things to do.
I hitchhiked from Gent to Barcelona with a friend and on our way we met amazing new people and created some nice stories to tell the grandchildren later.
