About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To get to know people, to share laugh talk with them and learn a lot, while taking the long way to Patagonia. And all along: to write about it all.
ABOUT ME
I have lived in Ireland, Spain and Germany, I'm 184cm tall and I like cookies, good novels and to swim in the sea!
Apart from that? I'm a journalist living in Lausanne, Switzerland. On October 16th, 2012, I started off on a 6-month journey to Patagonia, following a personal path that will take me to the Basque country, Madrid, Algeciras, the "Hanjin San Diego" cargo ship to New York, then Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina... I'm writing a personal blog (www.mou.ch/matthieu), and maybe a few articles along the way.
I've been sharing the prologue of this trip (10 days in the Basque country) with my writing pal Daniel Vuataz, who's been on the road to Turkey earlier this year (enafrique.ch). We've already had a few wonderful CS experiences, and I'm looking forward to more, on my own for now, in the U.S. and in South America. I'm relaxed, open-minded and versatile (not too bad at singing, cooking or taking pictures) guy, looking forward to meeting my hosts.
PHILOSOPHY
"No matter what you say, say nothin'."
An Irish saying, or so they say...
