About Me

Ahoy!

I think I would get verified if I was traveling longer, but I only have a little while to go, so it's too much of a cost.
Besides I believe I can be a good person without paying corporate CS.

Either way:
I'm friendly, easy going and open to almost anything. I'm not picky about where I sleep or stay, anything goes really.
I'm happy to be alone so if you host me and you're in the mindset of not being social, that's completely fine.
Likewise I'd love to go do some crazy stuff!
Currently I'm trying to challenge myself and my views and get out of my comfort zone when possible.

Nice things are:
- Board games
- Building things - I can weld, paint and improvise with what's at hand. Once I swapped engine on a motorbike and it fell off when I was riding. Then I learned to weld properly.
I also used to have a bike workshop in Melbourne.
- Cooking and eating stuff
- Exploring cities or preferably nature
- Climbing around on rocks or trees
- Mountain biking and downhill
- Dumpster diving
- Creativity
- Hearing people's stories is a big one and I am seriously considering recording what people have to share while I'm out and about - I haven't started yet but maybe you'd like to help make it happen?

Some of what I can offer:
Repairs, be it with your home, a bike or a car or some other thingy
Jamming - I play the guitar
Cooking and help with dumpster diving

I'm trying to be well rounded. I have an interest in learning many different things. I'd rather know many different things, maybe not perfectly, but decently!
Currently I want to learn to use Arduino and do blacksmithing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's always interesting to meet new people and see how they live their life. Traveling around, meeting people from all over really shows that you really can live in all sorts of different ways.
I wouldn't have thought that if I hadn't been let into other homes. It's really a beautiful thing to do.
You never know what seed of thought they might sow and what that could become - these random small events or discussions can lead to big things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody. Another movie I really like is The Song of the Sea.
I like adventures, abstract things.

Music wise - so many different things. Mainly blues, jazz, folk and 60's rock but am getting into psytrance and expanding my electronic side of listening.

I listen to a bunch of podcasts and my favorite ones at the moment are: RISK, The Moth, 99% PI, Radiolab, Heavyweight and Everything is Alive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up one morning in early 2012, deciding I'd had enough of being fat and over the course of a few years dropping 50kg.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a chord or two, how to dumpster dive and how to service your bicycle.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd be happy to do some cooking, repairs, cleaning or some jamming!

Countries I’ve Visited
