I signed up for Couchsurfing because I'm in the middle of moving up to Portland from southern Oregon on short notice. This means I'm going back and forth for interviews, looking at rooms, etc. and I'd rather meet some people around town than keep getting lonely hotel rooms.

I'm a big fan of music with live instruments. Not a big fan of pop, I like a lot of classic rock, blues, country, swing, punk, alternative, some ska, even jazz.

I like offbeat movies and big blockbusters. I'm a sucker for superhero movies.

When I was 17 years old I paid for a trip to Europe with money I'd earned by playing guitar.

Bonus: I spent one summer leading high school students on community service and adventure trips around Costa Rica. That was pretty amazing. I almost died whitewater rafting. That wasn't so amazing.
