About Me

CURRENT MISSION

An ngon o' Viet Nam

ABOUT ME

Hmmm, where to begin?

Enthusiastic and smiley are my main traits. I am intensely curious about all aspects of the world.

PHILOSOPHY

"Never stop asking why"

I have consciously identified with this philosophy for a long time. Learning new things to satisfy my curiosity is my life drive, my main purpose in living. I am skeptical and open-minded, continually questioning my understandings and what is taught to me in order to gain new insight. As I grow wiser with age I plan to pass this understanding on as a teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have hosted in NZ and met many nice people in Vietnam.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed couches in many towns, cities, random farms and even a boat! I've found that most people are friendly and generous after you break the ice.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a heavy reading appetite, some of my favorites include

"Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jared Diamond
"Bible" many contributors, some controversial
"Numerical Recipes: The Art of Scientific Computing" by W.H. Press et al
"The Undivided Universe" by David Bohm and Basil Hiley
"How to Read the Bible" by James Kugel

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Moonlight climb of beautiful Mt Taranaki. Arrived at summit to see sun peeping over the clouds and through the icicles.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is the beginnings of the future CouchSurfing University, a school where everyone's a student and everyone's a teacher. Surfing isn't just about a place to sleep. It's about exchange. From esoteric knowledge to practical skills, you have special knowledge that others will benefit from knowing. Include one, or even a couple of items here that you might be able to share - and maybe something you want to learn! We hope that this will contribute to strengthening the quality of this wonderful community. Teach. Learn. Share. Let's do this. ;D
