About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always bring something to the table.. (to give conversation, interest- makes for good conversation).
Or make 'em a strong coffee and ask: so what's your story? and let 'em go for it.

ABOUT ME

A question of me, I'll go for the habitual approach-
Coffee, socialising 'n music, lots of reading and drawing, midnight city walking and in the great outdoors is on the list. Drunken philosophy and good film debates, debates on understanding the world, people or how to improve on all of it in one fell swoop.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined cs when living in Florence for 3 months (making art!), now it has been a long journey across South America, Mexico across to Canada. If money 'n all allowed I'd turn around and attempt to do it all again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only try couchsurfing when I feel like it, for a good meet up with someone more local. Now I have done a small series of cs meetings as I travelled across Italy and France on my scooter and backbacking South America making 1 to 4 murals in almost every country. ALL great experiences with very different people.. The only draw back was that I wished I could have socialised longer before moving on. I keep realising my favourite stories in my mind are these ones, meetings in places that are on route.

Interests

arts books cinema, walks runs cycles tennis, vino water socialising, medicine, health & anatomy, chatting conversations debating, hair beard knees 'n toes, stars oceans mountains, popular science...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading. Borges, Camus, Kundera, Hesse, Auster, PhilipK Dick, Huxley, Dawkins.
Inventive novels, popular philosophy, popular science, popular medical research nutrition.
I have a fairly eclectic range of music interests: Amen Dunes, Suuns, US Girls, Deerhunter, Menomena, The Knife, PJ Harvey, Boards of Canada, Philip Glass, The Swans, Smashing Pumpkins, Kurt Vile, Radiohead, Apex Twin.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Travelled across South America, on buses, making murals and learning Spanish ('15 to Dec '17).

-Rode my small scooter from Florence to England, in January! I used cs for almost every stop for the 16 day journey. Even went snowboarding midway through. Scooter'd passed some people skiing at one point. Met people who showed me a resistance Italian hideout, James Joyce's home..

Teach, Learn, Share

Recientemente en suramericano he estado aprendiendo español, pero todavía estoy lento cuando hablo! I enjoy sharing and the exchange of information in its most nerdy form. My most learned subjects I reckon must be: art (the arts in general), tennis and English are most first points of contract to teach/share). I was working as a sort of medical photographer (diabetic retinopathy), taking photos of the retina of our patients.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All of the above! Coffee 'n wine, questions 'n poorly executed humour (but not always, por favor! )
