I'm a Livestock Manager on an organic farm on the central coast of California. I care for a herd of Mini Nubian goats, about 5,000 chickens, ducks and pigs. My wife and I are looking for a bus to refurbish into a traveling RV to visit the rest of the United States and continue our education in animal husbandry, agriculture and homesteading. I enjoy technical learning and creative expression.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My wife and I like to travel throughout the California Coast and are looking forward to travel the rest of the United States in a refurbished skoolie. In the meantime, we are traveling by car and would love to meet hosts who are willing to share their homes as well as their knowledge of their area with us.

We rarely get time off from our jobs as Livestock Managers so we do well to plan ahead and usually have our list of places we want to visit. However, we also love spontaneity and are open to suggestions.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all music from the songs that were passed down orally through the generations into contemporary music. Lately, I've been listening to the Guardians of the Galaxy Soundtrack to get ready for a themed Halloween party.
If I had to list genres: Drum and Bass, Folk, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Roots Reggae, Funk, Classical, etc.

I enjoy all sorts of movies. I recently watched Brawl (In Cell Block 99), THX 1138, Death Defying Acts, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, Pride & Prejudice and Zombies, Austenland, Sing, etc.

I like books on history, anthropology, botany, agriculture, cooking, baking, DIY, etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would teach hosts basic in playing guitar. I can share my labor in terms of light construction or chores. We like to play a charade kind of game called "Skeebie Skeebie". We can explain the rules later ;)
