Overview
About Me
After being away from my hometown, I’m now back to root a bit. I loved my years abroad but I’m now thrilled to be close to my family again and be able to enter long lasting work and hobby routines.
I work as a landscape architect and sometimes have art projects on the side. This combination enables me to always renew my vision towards our environment and continue learning about human-nature relationships.
Besides this I design and sew my own clothes, renovate furniture, learn how to make dye from plants to dye the fabrics that I use, like to get back to scuba diving when I have the chance, listen to obscure music and train my body for walking up those hills!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I couchsurfed and hosted before you had to pay for Couchsurfing and now I’m slowly finding my way back to this amazing community. I’m still renovating my place in Amsterdam, so unfortunately it’s too much of a mess to host people now. That does not mean that i do not participate in couch surfing related matters. I like to travel (like 99% of the people) and until now i always met interesting, friendly people. Besides that I am always very willing to lend my sleeping accommodation to friend or friends of friends, or friends of friends of friends, who are looking for a place to stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Staying at people i met on my travels I did in several countries. Using couch surfing for this I did in Turkey where people hosted me very nicely. On one of my hitchhiking trips I met Markus who let me stay in his apartment for several days and gave me his bike to travel around Leipzig. A unforgettable trip because of one friendly person I met. So I want to share experiences like this
Interests
Being a landscape architect and artist, my interests are very well spread. Anything including nature, water, sociology, philosophies on what the future is going to bring us and pretty things in general fascinate me. Furthermore I like to cycle around, like to put on some of my newly acquired records and pretend that I am a good drawer by drawing.

Music, Movies, and Books
Wes anderson is one of my all time favorites. But movies from Gus van Sant, Gaspar Noe and Lars von Trier also belong to this list.
I’m absolutely in love with my new queer bookclub that was recently launched. We read two of my favourite books so far and the discussions were some of the best I had about books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Underwater world in the Caribbean. Floating in the clear water with all these fascinating sea creatures around you is truly a very therapeutic experience.
Hiking up a hill in Sierra Leone because we wanted to sleep in a cave. It was a shame that there were killer mosquitos attacking me, because otherwise this would have been the best place i've ever stayed for the night.
