ABOUT ME

I love to travel and I'll readily hop on a boat, plane or a car to go to the beach or some other exotic destination.

After 31 years of existence, I could genuinely say that I find pleasure in the company of my own self. I am happiest though in the company of family and friends.

I cannot live without laughter and banter with the requisite amount of sarcasm. I'm pretty laidback and I could take you up on anything over a cup of coffee, a brewski or two or maybe a swig of whisky while sitting in the gutter if that's all that we have.

Reading to me is a compulsion. I read and I watch whatever I want. Ranging from the classics to the more popular brainless but amusing stuff that they show nowadays.The operative term is "amuse". If it's worth a good laugh or if it holds my attention for more than an hour then I'm doing it.I read mostly what I can get my hands on-- magazines, newspapers, encyclopedias (back in the day). I collect coffee table books on pop culture and culinary arts.

I love all kinds of music and I can't live without Ipod. My choices are very eclectic although I always gravitate towards classic rock. Listening to the Doors got me started until it progressed to Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Led Zep, Cream and even Rush. I also love Blondie and Janis Joplin and I would really love to sound like them when I do videoke.

Some of my Ipod staples are Sting, Tenacious D (oh yes!), The Beatles, Razorback, Carpenters (for singing along), Maroon 5, Madonna, Hed Kandi - Beach House, Hed Kandi - Disco, Gary V., Dave Matthews Band, The B-52s, Incubus, Jimmy Page, Jars of Clay, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Earth, Wind and Fire, John Cougar Mellencamp, R.E.M....and the list goes on!

Looked out at the rolling hills to my left and the crashing waves to my right while perched on top of a hill in Batanes.

Swam and frolicked in the islands Coron.

Did the rides on the Stratosphere in Vegas back in the day.

Teach-- I was sort of a Philippine History whiz when I was at school. Geeky, I know.

Learn-- Stuff about other people and cultures that I may have missed out on while watching the Discovery Channel or National Geographic.

Share-- TIME. I have lots right now.
