I'm a 24 years old student in History of Architecture and Town Planning at Groningen University, Netherlands. I'm an easygoing guy who likes to hang out and relax with a beer.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Friends I met in Krakow during my university exchange introduced me to the whole couchsurfing movement. They'd been using this website in their travels already and told me great stories about it. When travelling I prefer to blend in as much as possible with the locals, so you really feel like you are living in this particular place and get in touch with their day-to-day life. In this way I think you can get a much better understanding of the local culture and this, for me, is what travelling is all about!

Interesses

I'm very interested in architecture with a specific interest in architectural heritage. Especially the industrial heritage and the contemporary use of it in the built environment I think is very interesting.

Apart from that I'm a big football fan, and supporter of Holland's most beautiful club called Feyenoord! I like to watch matches in the stadium and to go abroad to see other teams play in theirs. Doing this I mostly try to avoid the bigger teams and go for the smaller club in an historic stadium where you can still experience real football. These clubs still do represent (a part of) the local population and so it's an excellent way to get in touch with the culture as well.

Other interest are music, cinema and of course: travelling!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

Mostly I listen to rap music, but I really enjoy soul and electronic (techno) music as well. My favourite artists are: Madvillian, A Tribe Called Quest, J Dilla, Masta Ace, Kendrick Lamar, Doomtree, The Roots and so on. Also Curtis Mayfield, Young Fathers, Jamie xx and Karenn are amongst them.

However I'm not much of a reader, I almost like all sorts of movies, but my favourites are No Country for Old Man, Trainspotting, Pulp Fiction and my most favourite one: Drive.

I've trekked 110 km across the Kungsleden trail in Swedish Lapland with two friends and two awesome dogs and our tents.
