It has always been my passion and I have been in tourism industry since I was in high school. The joy of showing someone my country and making sure all their expectations are met fulfills me. Kenya, s tourism product is very wide from wildlife and bird watching safaris, marine life, eco and agro tourism, city tours and short escurcions, exhibition and conferencing all the way to adventure tourism and beach holidays.
The main attractions are the Wildebeest migration of Maasai Mara, Samburu, Mt. kenya, amboseli, Tsavo, South coast the list is endless the best is to match up your interest with the destinations.
Kenyans have very friendly people, the culture is cosmopolitan in major towns though some other parts they are still very traditional and reserved, its all good as they are quite an attraction. whilst here make sure to visit some cultural villages, craft shops etc its a way of supporting this communities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted some wonderful souls a couple of times..
Yet to surf but planning to.

First, I am super social when I travel. I talk with whomever I'm sitting next to on the bus. I chat with vendors. I banter with people while waiting for a train. I ask for directions even when I'm pretty sure I know where I'm going. The more people you talk to, the more people learn about your journey, the more likely that someone will say, "Hey, if you don't have a place to stay, why don't you stay at my home?
Treat them to a movie and entertainment
Fill up their car with gasoline
Bring a useful, practical gift: food is best, but once I brought 20 rolls of toilet paper for my host! They loved it, saying, "Finally a gift I can use!")
Clean their house, bathroom, car and/or yard*
Help them repair their house, garden, run errands, babysit
