Hi! I’m Mauro from Argentinian by birth 🇦🇷, also a Spanish citizen 🇪🇸. Over the past few years, I’ve been living in different countries across Europe 🌍, working in various roles, some related to my studies in Human Resources, others just part of the adventure.

What I’ve enjoyed the most during these years is meeting new people 🤝, hearing their stories, and building unexpected connections. I’m calm, curious, and I truly love meaningful conversations, spontaneous interactions — whether deep and thoughtful or just laughing over silly things 😂.

I enjoy being outdoors 🏞️ and exploring new places, but I’m also someone who can appreciate the slow rhythm of everyday life. I like big cities… but just for a few days 😄

Lately, I’ve developed a curiosity for cooking 🍳. I can’t say I’m a good cook, but I’m always up for trying a new recipe — and especially learning from those who actually know their way around a kitchen! So if we meet, I’m sure we’ll come up with something interesting to make together 🍝

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

After working nonstop, I decided to take some time off and travel through some parts of Southern Europe 🇪🇸🇫🇷🇮🇹 — visiting friends and volunteering through Workaway. I’ve never hosted or been hosted via Couchsurfing before, but I’m excited to start! ✨ I see it as a beautiful way to meet people, share stories, and find a sense of belonging while moving from one place to another 🌍.

I’ve come to realize that my enjoyment of life is deeply connected to meeting people, creating new bonds and friendships, and building memories for the future 💬 — and that’s one of the reasons I joined Couchsurfing: to help keep that spirit alive and flowing from one connection to the next.

🎵 Music
Argentinian, Spanish, and Italian rock/pop/folk. Recently I’ve been getting into classical music, French chansons, and Celtic sounds too. I also enjoy international rock and folk — anything with soul or a story behind it.

🎬 Movies
Forrest Gump and The Shawshank Redemption are two all-time favorites. I enjoy films with strong storytelling and depth — the kind that stays with you after the credits roll.
Series & Shows? Many! For the moment I will stick to The Bear and S.A.S: Rogue Heroes!

📚 Books
I’m not a huge fiction reader, but I love books about cooking (The Science of Cooking is great!), personal growth, psychology, and random niche topics (lately: dog training 🐶 — no idea why, but it’s been fun). If I had to recommend one book for this stage of my life, it would definitely be Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life.

- Hiked the 4-day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with my mother and brother — what a blast and an unforgettable family adventure! 🏞️
- I’ve been lucky enough to make friends all around the world 🌍 — isn’t that pretty amazing too?
- Visited the highest navigable lake in the world: Lake Titicaca! 🚤⛰️
- Drove a car in the UK… on the left side… without crashing it. 😅🚗💨

I’m happy to cook a meal (Argentinian or improvised with what we find), share some "mates"— and teach you how to drink it properly 😉 — or bring you a taste of our culture, with stories, music, or random traditions. Happy to go for a walk or a hike if we have the chance ⛰️!

I’m tidy, respectful of space, and naturally collaborative: if you’re working on a project or need help with something, just say the word! Or maybe I will say it first!
