ABOUT ME

Robust and enthusiastic adventurer, writer, and experimental chef trapped in a business professional's body. Ok - not really trapped - the world is there for the taking! Scuba dived in Hawaii, fished for kings in Alaska, hunted for mulies in Wyoming, mountain climbed in Idaho and Montana, white water rafted the Columbia and Snake rivers, raised and schooled in Washington, worked all over the country, seeking new adventures (not always outdoors ones!) and people to share them with. Stay at our home and we will talk, eat, drink, and you can explore Atlanta while Sam and I put on our work costumes and play "professional". Evenings and weekends are for shared adventures.

PHILOSOPHY

Each society is really just a group of people who have fashioned rules for themselves to follow in order to differentiate themselves from other groups or societies. These rules govern where we go, how we speak, what we eat and at what times of day, what we wear, what we do, what we talk about when chatting up a stranger in the bar -- you name it.

I love to visit different places and sink myself into the people and the culture -- and to look at those rules with non-judging but critical eye and use these observations to make universal conclusions about human nature.

In short: I study what is different to learn what is universal.
