ABOUT ME

I tend to be a smart-ass. Not sure where that character flaw/virtue came from. Neither of my parents can be described as a smart-ass, but I'm sure its in my genes somewhere.

I've lived in Las Cruces for over 25 years. I enjoy the year-round pleasant climate, with the exception of the brief period of 100+ degrees temperatures in the summer.

I work at Doña Ana Community College and I love my job as an institutional researcher. My boss has always encouraged be me to take advantage of opportunities to travel, and so I try when I can to turn business trips into vacations as well.

PHILOSOPHY

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted several great surfers traveling through Las Cruces, and have surfed with some incredibly kind folks in Davis, CA and Seattle.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think CS is an amazing organization and I'm grateful to be a part of it. I enjoy meeting folks traveling through Las Cruces and I hope to have more opportunities to be a surfer in the future.

兴趣

I'm a cyclist (the kind with pedals not motors), and I love to hike. I've recently did a half-ironman with a friend and all it taught me was that I never want to do anything like that again! But I do admire the folks who are REAL Ironmen! As for me, I'll stick to swimming a few laps occasionally, riding my bike on long treks and participating annually in the Bataan Memorial Death March (walking never running!)

I own a Subaru Baja. Her name is Jodie Baja. She and I have been traveling the country together for over 5 years now. She is the best car ever!
