Im 23 from Belfast, Northern Ireland, moved to Edinburgh in 2021 for uni. In my final year of a Energy and Environmental Engineering course, graduating in October.
I like to keep active in my spare time, especially when the weather is nice. My 2 biggest hobbies at the moment would be skateboarding and surfing. Been going to the gym a little recently to up my surfing fitness. I love socialising with friends and meeting new interesting people. I think friends would describe my demeanour as relaxed and calm, but always ready to have a laugh.
I feel most confident and myself when on some type of adventure, experience something or somewhere new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Specifically:
I am going to be surfing and hammock camping around San-Sebastian and Biarritz with 2 friends. They will leave for Zaragoza on the 15th, but I need to stick around near Biarritz for a couple nights to get my flight back home to Edinburgh on the 17th.

Generally:
As mentioned, going on adventures seems to bring out the best in me. Couchsurfing will allow me to do that more frequently, being that it will not cost so much to go on these adventures. When I travel the most memorable things about the trips are often the people I have connected with and the things they have taught me/ made me realise. Couchsurfing gives a great opportunity to meet even more kind, open-minded folk.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music taste is pretty varied, but some standouts would be: Aussie indie rock; surf rock; psychedelic rock; acid techno; hardcore techno; scottish and irish folk; alt 90s hip-hop

I used to keep a list of movies I liked but I've lost that, and my memory for things like this Isn't great so I really couldn't tell you what my favourite movies are :/

Not a big reader but a few I've read recently are: 1984; the alchemist; and a couple Ernest Hemmingway's. Ernest definitely does not pass the Bechdel test

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Favourite trip I've been on to date was to Morocco. Surfed for a week, then road tripped for a week. Amazingly beautiful country and people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes and conversation, a friend and tour guide (and hopefully a place to stay) if you ever visit Edinburgh, I'm a decent cook so could sort out dinner.
