Hello! My name is Max, and I'm currently studying music at a college in Valencia, Spain. I was born in Canada, but lived in the United States for most of my life. I love traveling, exploring, seeing new things, meeting new people, and music of course!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Besides the fact that I'm traveling around Europe on a fairly tight budget, I thought Couchsurfing would be a great way to integrate into each town I visit. Staying in hostels is great, but there's nothing like speaking with someone who lives there to really learn what the culture of the place is like and how things work around the city.

I've never used Couchsurfing before, but I'm excited to try it out!

兴趣

I love music more than anything in the world, and traveling is a close second. I love to play soccer and hockey, and I always enjoy attempting to speak new languages. I think space and the sciences are really cool. I love skiing, biking, hiking... you name it, I probably enjoy it!

I like a lot of music, ranging from English Rockers (U2, Coldplay ,Radiohead) to soul R&B (D'angelo, Frank Ocean, Marvin Gaye) to modern american rock (John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, etc.) It's tough for me to make a small list here! As for movies, my favorite as of today is Interstellar because I love space so much. My favorite books are the Lord of the Rings trilogy.

I traveled around Russia with my high school orchestra and performed a piano solo piece at five different venues when I was 16. I hope that is amazing enough!

I love teaching people anything I can. Whether it be practicing English fluency, anything to do with music, or anything about America and Canada, I would love to teach you! I love learning people's stories; everyone has an interesting one, and I believe you can gain a lot of experience from listening. I also love to learn languages and all the things people are talented at. I go to a school where everyone is really good at something, and finding out what it is is always a pleasure. I love to compare cultures. The more places I go, the more I realize how unique the world is. I love learning surprising things about new places and sharing how different (or sometimes, how similar) things are where I live. I love to share fun stories and experiences, and I always hope that a host and I can learn from one another.
