I am Max, was born and raised in a small town in Eastern Germany and have been living in a few different places for the last couple of years, particularly in Namibia, Israel and most recently Sweden. I moved back to Leipzig for a PhD position in Social Anthropology in 2024. The city is very familiar to me though since I lived there for several years before.

I couchsurfed in several European countries, in South Africa, Israel and Jordan so far and hosted people from even more different places (partly through other apps like TrustRoots).

Apart from getting around, I am a queer-anarchist activist and academic and just try my best to be a decent and respectful human being.

I like to swim or to run in the woods, to hike and the outdoors in general but also to go to art exhibitions, museums or having drinks at a bar.

Besides, I am very much interested in topics around queer feminism, masculinities, socialisation or post-colonialism.
