Rather tall guy at nearly two metres (about 6 feet 3 inches), a bit sporty, but if I want to drag myself over the Alps on a bike tour I have to train before.
Quiet a bit of a technology interest, but also in a lot of other aspects of things, albeit not a that in depth knowledge of everything. I like to hear a lot where people have already bin and what sort of adventures they experienced there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Stumbled a pone it, partly from wanting to see the world and through a friend of mine who also does it. It sounds like a brilliant idea to share something and get to know more people.
Still in the learning process, thought.

Interests

Back in Germany I like to go biking in the Alps, so most of all mountain biking as you get to see the place away from all the touristy spots. That is something for summer, in winter I love to go skiing at the ski pistes on the fringe of the Alps and sometimes further in in Austria and Italy. Some smaller hobby's of mine include photography, swimming and playing some computer with my mates.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: More towards Progressive House and similar things, like soundtracks. If I like the specific music, I am open to any genre (the only one I have found to not really like is Metall)

Movies: Difficult with that one, as I don't watch that many. And when I do it tends to be towards Fantasy, SciFi and Action. Things like Harry Potter, How to Train your Dragon, Star Trek, andandand...

Books: Been reading books for a long time, but similar to the film I stick mostly to Fantasy with this one. Things like Eragon, Harry Potter, Temeraire, … I have read a lot of books in my life

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Spent two weeks biking from where I lived in Germany (close to Austria) to our relatives in England. Basically a start biking and see where you stay on the way. I wrote a blog whilst doing so, which can be found at “maxhogarth-germanyengland.blogspot.com” if you are more interested in it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Pfuu, what I am “officially” aloud to teach is skiing, as I am a trained ski instructor. I know a bit about computers, but not as much as quiet a few friends of mine who are learned IT specialists. I learned something more towards the industry, with grinding machines if that means anything.
Like to share a few stories with people about how the world is somewhere, be it near or far away.
