Hey there.

I love asking the big questions of life. I love dancing. It's important to me that I get enough sleep. I've done all kinds of ridiculous tricks to make my phone less engaging so that I instead (on a good day) read books, walk outside, pick up the guitar, spend time with loved ones. Dogs and children never fail to bring a smile to my face. If I had to choose, I'd rather something be healthy than tasty. Then I feel good in my body. But tasty *and* healthy is of course the dream. I believe life is a poem. And a song. And a dance. And a real piece of work.

It's hard to say who I am in a few sentences. Let's figure out all that stuff in person, it suits me better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It matches my whole philosophy regarding fun, frugal, spontaneous travel, where a major focus is connecting with other people. By using CouchSurfing we also embrace the belief that there are so many good people in the world that we can trust; we make less of the world feel that others are "strangers". It's a beautiful thing. (I also love the thought that we can offer a bed to another and there needn't be so many hotels in the world, when so many of us are already so blessed and have so much that we can share).

Flew to Paris and then BlaBlacar'd to Normandy to chase after a lovely French girl I met in Dublin. It turned into a great adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

If we get into the flow of a real conversation with one another (which is something I do gladly) I'm sure we'll teach each other a thing or two. Can't tell you exactly what, it is likely to be abstract things - what we needed to hear in that moment, a new way to look at something that was bothering us, a book we ought to read, a reminder that we're doing great, etc.

Maybe I'll play a song or two for you on the guitar, or show you where you can go dancing in the city.
