I have just completed a University degree in Engineering in the UK and am currently traveling the world (including my home country, which I have stupidly seen less of than many places I have visited!) in between a part time job that takes me to a different country for one week each month.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think the people you meet and cultures you experience while traveling are far more important than the sights and places you see; and being from a very rural, very English village I have a massive appreciation of localised cultures. So I can't think of a better way of traveling than what couchsurfing has to offer (having said that, I haven't actually used it, so might be totally wrong..).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Personally into Deep House, Chillwave, Electronica, Downtempo. But not picky at all when it comes to music and can appreciate pretty much anything (especially classic rock and pop).

Movies: Into the Wild and Gladiator are probably a top 2.

Books: shamefully I stopped reading complete books a couple of years ago, all the reading I do now is part of research into design, engineering, culture and philosophy; but usually only specific parts of the book.
