Hey there! My name's Max. I'm a once-in-a-while traveller from Vancouver, BC, Canada. Sound nerd through-and-through, I make podcasts and radio for a living. I'm also a musician - I've been in multiple bands as vocals, bass, and keys, and I can also play guitar, cello, oboe, and the ocarina. I'm a vegan but I don't mind if you aren't, I love to cook and would be happy to trade a place to stay for a well-cooked meal (vegan or not vegan, I don't mind touching meat!).

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I mainly travel for work and work experience-type stuff (e.g. workshops, festivals and conventions), and being a freelancer I have a very tight budget to do so! So, that's why I'm on Couchsurfing for the most part. An added bonus of couch surfing is being hosted and hearing stories from other travellers and hosts. The best part of my work is listening to people tell their life stories, and I love that with Couchsurfing, I get to hear different people's stories in my travels too.

Oh jeez, I don't even know where to start! I'm very much into local music, specifically from around the two cities I've lived in recently (Victoria, BC and Vancouver, BC). Most of the music played here is post-punk, surf-rock, etc, and I would be more than happy to bring along some good tunes for you to add to your digital library.

As mentioned in my About Me column, I'm a pretty good cook and I'm happy to trade a place to stay for a cooked meal or two. I am well-versed in making vegan meals taste delicious to people of all diets but I am also comfortable around meat. I'd love to cook for you so that we can share stories over a hot (or cold!) meal.
