About Me
Hi! I'm a friendly, outgoing, cheerful guy that just finished studying in Germany. Now I'm working full-time and seeing as much of Europe as I can with quick trips where I can fit them into my schedule.
Thanks to growing up in the international culture of El Paso, Texas, I love to travel. I've spent plenty of wonderful times in youth hostels, but I'm hoping that through Couchsurfing I can meet people who live in the city and experience the local scene.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
A French girl named Elise in a hostel in Vienna really sold me on the idea. Cheaper than hostels with more opportunities to meet locals sounds great to me. Thanks Elise!
Interests
When I'm not working/studying, I try to balance friends, working out, and creative pursuits. My favorite is playing D&D, but it's a bit complicated to get a game going, so on most weekends I'm usually reading a book or playing music with my flatmates.
- yoga
- reading
- guitar
- journaling

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I love pretty much anything with an acoustic guitar and piano together, probably because those are the instruments I can play. My playlist has lots of indie folk/rock. Catfish and the Bottlemen, Local Natives, Modest Mouse, Dermot Kennedy, The Lumineers, The Front Bottoms, Zach Bryan
Movies/TV: I don't watch much movies or TV, but there's a few all-time greats. Lord of the Rings, Avatar the Last Airbender, Breaking Bad, Attack on Titan
Books: I have a habit of buying non-fiction to try and force myself to learn about the real world, but then I just go back to fiction. Flowers for Algernon and Norwegian Wood are my favorites
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went for a hike in a small village in Spain with no idea of where it led. It ended up taking hours longer than expected and we climbed high into fog and snow that we were not properly dressed for. At the top we found a small local church and a cute family having a snowball fight. It was such an unexpected experience that it remains one of my favorite memories.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a little about a lot of things, and I'm always happy to learn more or share what knowledge I have. Cooking, music, language, I'd love to exchange info on whatever topics come up.
I'm very interested in experiencing and learning about local culture, and I can answer whatever questions you have about my home (people love to ask if Texas is really like that, so don't be afraid, I've heard it all before).
What I Can Share with Hosts
An easy smile, a good story or two, chill conversation over coffee or intense discussion over beers. I travel light and won't take up much space. I hope to meet you and brighten up your place soon!
