I'm Max. I just quit my job and I'm keen to see what life has to offer :) The upcoming year will serve for me as a phase of orientation: What do I want, what are my strengths and weaknesses? I believe you can learn from everyone and everywhere.

How I describe myself: Laid back and empathetic. I appreciate seeing the genuine life in a culture, meeting (local) people and listening to their stories. I also like art, adventure, nature and getting up early. I am eager to learn about different lifestyle since I’m at a point of reflection and reevaluation of my own life and values.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Orientation is what I am looking for right now, so learning about different jobs, attitudes and styles of living seems very valuable for me. On this journey I'd love to make some friends, see some stuff and maybe pick up a few pieces of knowledge and skills.

German Rap, Indie, 60s

Favorite Movie: Lost in Translation. It’s absolutely amazing how Sofia Coppola managed to capture such fragile and very minute emotions!

When it comes to books I must admit that I’m reeeally picky. I read most of the books that I own a couple of times, because it’s so hard to get new ones that I actually enjoy. When I was a kid I read fantasy only. Obviously Harry Potter, but I also love Percy Jackson for instance. Generally it’s these books that are about adventures and friendship that I find very touching. Nowadays I read modern classic novels, but also fantasy-audiobooks sometimes like Brandon Sanderson. It hits different when you walk through a dark forest, trust me.

I'm fairly well educated and interested in various things from "how to cultivate cinnamon" to shaping surfboards and books. So let's talk. Apart from that I want to get my surfing to another level 🏄‍♂️.
