About Me

let's keep it simple eh. Im from english german background and have been living in berlin the last 16 years. finished school and now took a year off before enrolling in university. i am probably going to study cultural anthropology and philosophy, primarily because i am very interested in different cultures and philosophies and i want to know how they compare or differ to the values we are taught in europe. anyway, i spend the better part of last year travelling, hitchhiking down to the sahara in morocco and working on grape harvests on the way. the single most fantastic time i have ever had in my entire life!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

unfortunately i have not yet come around to enjoy couchsurfer's hospitality, nor host anybody, because i have been living in a ridiculusly small and constantly crowded appartment. i'll be sure to make up for it as soon as i move into my new apartement though.

Whilst i may live in a big city i also share a profound love for nature and especially activities with encompass this. i have, for example, cycled through norways mountains, and from berlin to budapest, sleeping out in the wild. two years ago i went down the river Oder all the way to the baltic sea in a cayak. last summer i spend weeks hiking through the cevennes, probably one of the least inhabited parts of france. however, i am also a very social person and love to indulge in berlin's cultural posibilities, spending many nights with good friends checking out the ubiquitous bar, theatre and club scene in berlin and elsewhere. and finally, whilst the german cuisine might be less than amazing, i absolutely love to cook and if you happen to host me, i'll be sure to repay your kindness by cooking a little something for you.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

hard to say really. one of my personal highlights, however, was hithchiking into the sahara desert and sleeping between camels and half empty chicken tajine bowls and enjoying the single most amazing stary night i have ever seen.
