ABOUT ME
Duuuh, I hate talking about myself, but let's give it a try. I am an open minded and spontaneous person, like to get in touch with people and their ideas, hate small talk, love to play music. I think I carry some kind of hippie spirit in me; I try to believe in "the good of man" (doesn't feel as pathetic as it reads and doesn't always work out, but I try) and I think that everything and everyone should be treated with respect.
PHILOSOPHY
"All things considered, being shot is not as bad as I always thought it might be. As long as you can keep the fear from your mind. I guess you could say that about most anything in life. It's not so bad as long as you can keep the fear from your mind." - Dale Cooper, Twin Peaks
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's great to be able to know people in a country where you travel, getting to know their stories. Vice versa it's nice to get to know travellers and it's always nice to give back :)
Interests
most everything that's related to music (playing music, going to shows, recording music, setting up diy shows), arts, sleeping, hanging out (outdoors, indoors, internet)

Music, Movies, and Books
It's kinda hard to put "taste" into words, but let's try:
For movies, I tend to have a little affinity for the darker and/or dreamier stuff; I love David Lynch's movies and especially Twin Peaks (always amazes me), I definitely like what I know from Richard Linklater's Work (Waking Life (favorite!), A Scanner Darkly, Dazed And Confused), I like The Breakfast Club, I like Josef Hader's movies and I like a lot of other stuff that just won't cross my mind right now...
For music, I guess you can say the same thing about dark and dreamy stuff, but I don't really limit myself... I started off with punk and hardcore and got into metal and grindcore later on, and always return to stuff like that, although I can't really identify with what's being called "metal" these days. Some of my favorite bands/musicians are boysetsfire, Hot Water Music, Napalm Death, Nasum, Nadja, Sunn O))), Neurosis, Colour Haze, Townes Van Zandt, Earth, Cult Of Luna, Portishead, Massive Attack, Perth Express, Bohren & der Club Of Gore, Converge, Tombs, Ruined Families, Slayer, Pink Floyd
For books, it's hard to name favorites, to be honest I don't read that much, but some books that made me think or somehow left a mark are Trainspotting, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and "Liebesfluchten", a collection of stories by Bernhard Schlink
