About Me

Hey this is Max. My favourite colour is black, I'm a rock star and in my spare time I teach economics at the University of Naples Parthenope.

PHILOSOPHY

Long story short, preferences are unquestionable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some guests on a number of occasions, both in Naples and in Milan and so far I have met amazing people whose company I really enjoyed. Nothing teaches you more than getting to know people from different cultures.

Interests

I play the bass - and occasionally sing - in a band. We performed live a few times (including once in Belgrade!)

I am a big fan of my city's football team (Napoli), which sometimes implies travelling throughout Europe to watch the games.

Cultural interests: history (mainly ancient, more recently also the middle ages), languages and phonology

Music, Movies, and Books

Acoustic and Alternative Rock.

Not a big fan of cinema, as I find most movies really slack (masterpieces of course do exist. An example? Inception).

I love historiography, historical novels and fantasy books. Don't mind science fiction either.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on a peak in the Grand Canyon; driving to Barcelona from Milan in order to watch a game and then driving back the whole night long so as to make it on time to the office at 9 am!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm an economist and I teach economics postgraduate classes, so in case you're curious, I'll be glad to share a few funny stylised facts about the world where we live today. I also have a thing for languages, especially phonology and etymology, so if you're curious I'll be happy to tell you why Greece is Ellada in Greek but Yunanistan in Turkish.

I can tell you quite a lot about the history of Naples and its lost Kingdom. Wanna jam? If you can put a couple of chords together, I'll be glad to join you - and I can provide you with a guitar

What I Can Share with Hosts

That really depends on the current situation, but for sure I can offer you a bed in a private room. My flat is in the residential area of Posillipo, not very close to the centre but amazing in terms of views and right next to the see.

I ususally like showing guests around, but my availablity will be heavily influenced by job constraints.

Countries I’ve Visited
