Hello You!

I'm Max, a 18-year-old backpacker from Germany. I'm currently travelling around Australia and I was also working in Sydney and in Darwin. I have a lovely time here with the unique landscapes of Australia, the beautiful beaches and the nice people.

I finished High School in Germany last year and I'm travelling now till July. After this awesome journey I will go to university in october. I would describe myself as easy-going and open-minded person. I love music, movies having a chat with strangers and learning new things.

I'm travelling alone, just because you have more freedom. I can go wherever I want to go and I can do whatever I want to do. Which is awesome! And if you are travelling alone it's way easier to meet new people because in some way you are forced to make new friends unless you don't wanna spend your whole time just with yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard about couchsurfing from a friend who used it for the whole east coast of Australia. She told my about so many awesome experiences and new friends she just made because of couchsurfing!

So that's why I'm here. To make new experiences and meet new people. And yeah just have an awesome time with awesome people!

Interests

I love music and nearly every genre except maybe for hardcore/metal. I love watching movies. And I also like it to do some sports (I've played soccer in Germany for my entire life). Added to that I also love it to go out at the night and having fun while dancing to music or going out during the day and explore a city.

Ah by the way I'm also very interested in history or politics, so I would never mind an interesting political discussion. But no worries if you don't care about politics I don't annoy you with political facts :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie-Rock, Hip-Hop, Electronic and Classic. (For example a few of my favourite artists are Aracde Fire, Alt-J, Coldplay, Macklemore, Jay-Z, Flume, Parov Stelar.

Movies: I'm in love with movies directed by Christopher Nolan. But I also like a ton of other movies. I'm also a big fan of the tv series House of Cards.

Books: I'm currently reading Gone Girl. I also love the bartimaeus sequence, these are awesome fantasy books. Harry Potter of course. And some other books for instance the biography of Steve Jobs.

Nah just kidding :D I think it's not very realistic to reduce me or any person to single thing they have done in life... But anyways I'll try to find something amazing: I was travelling for 1 month through Indonesia last November and during this journey I was walking on the Rinjani Volcano while the volcano errupted =O
